The Albemarle County School District is comprised of:
4 High Schools, 6 Middle Schools, and 16 Elementary School.
Additionally, the system has a Math, Science and Engineering Academy and participates in the Piedmont Regional Education Program.
The Albemarle Schools are districted into three “feeder” patterns:
- The Albemarle High School or Northern feeder pattern
- The Western Albemarle High School or Western feeder pattern &
- The Monticello High School or Southern feeder pattern.
